    Pet Corrector spray

Has anyone used the Pet corrector spray for training? Our trainer suggested it to use when our 11 week old puppy chases our 5 year old Grandaughter and nips at her legs. This really scares our Grandaughter as Maggie's teeth are like needles. She will be coming over today and I will be using it for the first time. It is air in a can that you spray (not at them) when they are doing something such as biting and the noise makes them stop. Anyone try this?

I have tried this. It's basically just a can of compressed air. Dogs get desensitized to it pretty quickly in a lot of cases if it's used often. I only use it if Roxy starts barking for no good reason. If she hears it, she stops barking and takes off running right to me.

I've seen it used before, but I've never used it. It scared the dog a lot. Why not just keep the puppy on leash instead of using the spray, so she doesn't have the chance to chase her or put her in the crate if she gets to riled up.

Never used it, sorry. Agree with above, using leash and crate.

I don't crate train. But yea I could put her on leash. I used the spray today and it seemed to work well.

Glad to hear the spray worked. Hoping it continues so your granddaughter can have a good time playing with pup. And not in a rough way.
