Me too....I assume because of Joan Jett.
Thanks for the advice! He is sleeping in our room next to our dresser. It would be a tight fit to have the crate right next to the bed but its not too far away. That's why I was surprised I didn't hear him last night. The crate we have him in is 36 inches and I know he is going to outgrow it. Daisy has a 42 inch one downstairs so I guess we could switch them eventually but she likes her crate and it has a large wooden cover over it that would be too large for our bedroom. That's why I was thinking maybe I should just go buy another 42 inch crate with a divider and put that in our bedroom and put the 36 inch one downstairs next to Daisy's for when we are downstairs and can't watch him.
I still like Jett with two t's -

We set alarms to take Bubba out 1. Because we would rather wake up to an alarm than wake up and have to clean the crate up from an accident and 2. Bubba was a hugeee attention barker/whiner, all the time if he wasn't the sole focus of our attention. We didn't want to constantly have to get up from his barking & whining, take him out, see if decide to go to the bathroom, put him back in his crate, lay there and worry he still needs to go, etc. After about a week he started to sleep more and only wake up when he needed to go to the bathroom so then we let him alert us.

Tt reminds me of Joan Jett, so more feminine.
As for the crate, Maverick started in 36 inches and never had an issue. Bear started in the same size and thought it was great fun to pre all over. He got a smaller crate. FWIW at close to 90 pounds, Bear can still fit comfortably in the 36 because he curls when he sleeps. He does usually use the 42 tho.

The crate size is fine. We never use a divider. I think the night was just off due to traveling and first night home. Is Daisy sleeping free in the house or is she crated in another part of the house (I know you mentioned her crate somewhere else). He'll adjust before you know it.
I think "Jett" too, but in your case, I see where your husband would want "Jet". I might go with the latter! LOL, then you can keep that in your pocket to tell your husband later that you let him name the dog what HE wanted! LOL

Oh how I remember these first few months with Asher! Good luck.....it'll be over before you know it!
Ahhhhhhh yes! I still remember the first time Sophie, Bruce and Brooks slept through the night! It was a momentous occasion! I will say Sophie was the worst one, not because she was bad or anything, it was due to her arrival in February. Having to get fully dressed and put a coat on was not conducive to being able to rapidly fall back to sleep. Bruce and Brooks were summer puppies, and it was so nice to just slide on shorts and go out.
