Teaching Puppy To Share Toys With Another Dog

So our puppy has come a long way and is getting relatively better haha...The one problem we are having now is she doesn't want to share any toys with our older dog. We have been trying to correct her but she gets upset/slash mean if our older dog wants to play with any of the toys laying around. Do any of you guys have any tricks or suggestions that have worked for you? She does not guard the toys towards us or anything, she just does not want our other dog to touch any of the toys laying around and if our dog does she will run over and growl and take them from her.

I've done a lot of fostering previously, and when that happened, I took ALL toys away while the offending dog was out loose. If I wanted my own dogs to be able to play, I put the toy guarder in his/her crate during the play time, or if it happened before the toys got put up, the dog went immediately into his/her crate - no yelling, or other punishment, just a stern, "no," and into the crate for a few minutes. If the puppy finds out that all play stops EVERY time he/she toy guards, he'll eventually get the message. Consistency is the key.

You might look into some of the information online regarding "Resource Guarding". I forget how old the puppy is and I don't have direct experience with it myself, but maybe that's what starting to happen. Here's one article by a respected dog behaviorist that might give you some ideas.
