Thank you for the sympathy. She is doing much better: she reliably sleeps in the crate with no fussing at night, and during the day she naps in the morning and afternoon in it. But she sleeps from like 7 am to 9 am, and DH needs to work until 10 am before giving her a break. But she starts barking at 9, and he doesn't have as much ability to ignore the noise like I do! (She can wait until 10, biologically. She just doesn't want to.)
It's also complicated by the fact that we rarely crated Kimber during the day, and DH, while seeing the benefits of nap-crating, still feels guilty for crating Stormy when she's awake.
