    Gorging on water

Thor has a little water problem. Any time the water bowl is down he drinks the whole thing. He has the potty concept down. He lets us know when he has to go and has had few accidents overall but when we give him free access to water he drinks it all and then can’t control his little bladder. He also isn’t leaving any water for the adult dogs. He’s kind of a bully at the water bowl and pushes them out of the way. I don’t want to have to restrict his water or limit the other dogs access to water but I’m not sure what the solution is.

    Any ideas?

Zoey was and still is a water hog, its a constant battle of making her stop drinking and ive doing it since she was a puppy. I never found any other solution but to simply just make her stop

Toby was like this- he grew out of it at about 5 months old.

Good to know! He growled at the other dogs for drinking at the same time as him yesterday. I don’t want the water to become a guarded resource so I was going to add more water bowls to see if that would help and just deal with the potty issue by taking him out constantly.

Lido did this when younger. My vet had me give him controlled water breaks throughout the day. He finally outgrew it around 7-8 months.
