Dodger gets nothing in his crate. Since he is such a heavy chewer he doesn't even get a chew toy. He is on a plastic liner cause he tears everything else to shreds, even a foam mat we tried.

He also has separation anxiety so is always crated when we are not home. The other night we all went in the basement to watch a movie(he's not allowed in the basement) and he tore apart the futon in my sons bedroom because he was alone too long. Bad Dodger.

We did this, too, for Mocha. I wrapped the blanket (or a beach towel) around the tray and safety pinned it to the bottom. This worked. But still no toys in the kennel.

Bacon hasnt gotten the privilege of having anything in his kennel except for at night. At night we let him have his bed in the kennel, but he would shred it during the day.

Poor Dodger! Can't you give him a small space down there so he can be with his family? Even another crate, back by the stairs, so he can at least see y'all? I can't place blame on him. You were all in another place, but still at home, and having way more fun than he was.

We have a plastic tray. Her bed is also in there as well as a few bones and toys.

Dodger would not accept going in his crate when we are there. He loves his crate and goes in all on his own as soon as he knows we are going somewhere, but he freaks out if we close him in there when we are home. I have a tortoise in the basement that Dodger tries to eat. He can smell him from upstairs and is always trying to get at him so he can't come in the basement. In reality it was my son's fault as he left his bedroom door open which gave Dodger access to the futon.

Hi.. Sophie loves to do this.. we have comfy blankets on our couches.. as we are couch potatoes and Sophie is too, she bunches it up like crazy. We put in an old quilt in her crate and she does this as a way to get comfortable for the night. It is her ritual.

Bobby cannot be trusted with anything inside his crate. He doesn't get a bed, a blanket or a toy except for the occasional stuffed Kong to keep him busy. Even then, we don't leave him alone with it for long as he is a aggressive power chewer who has proven numerously that he can destroy extreme Kongs.

If it makes you feel better, Bobby doesn't even get the tray! He destroyed it himself after he kept digging at it and discovered he could lift and tear it. We lay carpet at the bottom of the crate instead.
