I've had 3 male dogs, none of whom has ever gotten stuck in the "on" position. I guess it's better to know it could happen and have a clue what to do rather than having to rush to an emergency vet or go online and, let's see, drive to the drug store, go to the personal care aisle, read the labels on the personal lubricants until you find one without xylitol, drive home, position your dog, try to get the dog to allow you to apply lube, an ice pack, sugar, or any other remedy for 5 minutes or even 5 seconds while they're trying frantically to lick the area so it stops hurting!!! Whew!

But there are other intact males at the DP who don't pee on people. 

I always wanted a male dog but this thread makes me think twice....!!
My first dog was altered at about 6 months of age and one of my fondest memories was when my mom and another woman from our apartment building were talking just a little too long for Tuffy's liking...he peed on the other woman's leg. I had to go around the corner to hide my giggles (I was 6).

And do it all fast enough to keep circulation from being cut off (need to act fast).

    OMG, this thread is hysterical.

Oh boy, the joys of living with a male dog. I think we may have scared off some people who were interested in owning boy dogs.

    Here's another one -

When my fiance's older brother was a little boy, the first time he saw the family dog get "excited" he screamed, "Dad HELP HELP! Spriggy's insides are coming out!!!"

LOL. Yep, I was in the same boat when we first got Sailor, and now we got another boy, go figure. Sailor humped his blankey a bit when he was younger, but doesn't do it anymore (although he still tries to mount other dogs when playing), and the lipstick makes an occasional appearance, but definitely not as much as before he was neutered. Finnegan... is a different story. His lipstick is out all the time, and he LOVES angry humping his blankey at any chance he gets. By this time with two boys, I'm use to it... and I'm sure you'll get use to it too.

You know what they say... that's just the way the cookie crumbles! LOL.
