my last lab Max had no problem sleeping on the plastic, packer my puppy didn't like the plastic so I folded up an old sheet ,now he sleeps thru the nite
Rocky had no problems, give her an old towel or blanket, maybe a old pillow, then sleep next to her so she can see you and wake you up if necessary to go out. I spent the first month on the couch next to him. now I moved the crate in the bedroom but he can still see me. also, I think it helps to find you own phrase when she should go in, I use "sleepy time". now he goes in by himself anytime he wants to rest, it's his private room.

I used to have towels and then a bed and then a blanket in my dog's crate. At night, he slept on those nicely but during the day, he treated them as toys. Since he now sleeps in our bedroom on his bed and not in the crate, I just leave the crate bare during the day for him so he just plays with his toys and not the blankets (or whatever). Your dog may not play with them if you have them in their crate.

Don't allow your happiness to be interrupted by overly judgmental people. The problem is not you, because even if you do good all the time, they would still find a way to judge you wrongly.

Leave the crate bare, its not worth the risk and most dogs prefer the colder surface anyway. Zoey is old enough to have blankets in her crate and all she does is shove them into a corner, so does my corgi

How old is JollyMolly?
I thought we were talking about crate training a puppy where they're coming from sleeping with the rest of the litter. also, I would think the temperature of your house makes a difference, here in ohio it's been very cold and Rocky likes his pillow and blanket.
I don't allow toys in the crate, but I always make sure she has an antler or bone to chew on since she usually gets the urge around 5 in the morning.

We did well yesterday she took her afternoon nap in the crate. She still prefers to go sleep in the laundry room. Not really sure how to make the transition. Mollly is around 7 months now. Been in the laundry room since the day she came home.
Maybe if I put the crate in my room it might be more apealing to her.
