I admit I misspoke about the pulling away...I knew what I was trying to say but it didn't quite come out right as I typed it.

Puppy piranha & land shark are exact examples of your little girl right now. Paitence & persistence are key at this stage. You will feel like you & Latte are not getting anywhere with training but hang on, you will be rewarded with the best trained, best friend in the world. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for showing me that I am not a trainer fail I will be patient
I have a 1.5 year old shark lab that we are still working on "gentle" to take treats and such.. I have literally felt like I have lost most of my hands and fingers and we plug on... he is very slow on the uptake with the gentle command. My other lab is so dainty and delicate that she literally takes the treat from you using only her lips it seems.. lol.. so when sharknado Murphey chomps your hand off it is a big difference!!

Oh no you are not a failure I found Molly being my first lab mix to be the mouthiest pup I have ever had. Just be careful while playing protect your nose. I got pretty beat up until we got gentle down and it took a while.
Good luck and patience
