By the way, what do you people think about the spaying time?
Most here will say at least wait till after the first heat if not the second. There is some good reading on the board, here:

I know mostly this isn't about sex. But one of the dogs does nothing but humping and I started to worry thanks to you I am relieved. Snowshoe, thanks for the article.

My little gal was the object of humping at the park. I taught her to just sit when another dog got on her back. They got frustrated and found something else to do. For the persistent ones, I spoke to the owner and if they did not do anything I would pull them off myself and hold them until the owner came over to get them.

Worst humpers I've had have been females, both fixed. Four intact males, yeah, they hump, but they weren't/aren't horrible about it.

I didn't teach Luna to sit, she did it on her own. If it continued, she would bite the air at them. They usually find ways of dealing with it on their own, but you can tell if it's becoming a problem. Some dogs continue to be dominate even when your dog continually submits, and then you would always intervene. I do the same as Woodrow, pull the dog off and hold it til the owner comes.

My boys are innocent! But their little terrier friend, Lucy, comes over and humps them both all day long! The love the attention, any way they can get it.

And Latte doesn't seem like she dislikes that kind of attention

Humping can be downright dangerous. A big dog could hurt a little one or an older one. The humpee might retaliate with force. The owner of the humpee might retaliate with force. And I know of a case where the owner of the humper became verbally abusive and threatening when the owner of the humpee pulled his bigger dog off of her older, smaller dog.

Bacon is intact, and he doesnt hump at all, but the other dogs at the dog park (most of which are fixed) want to hump him all day long. Bacon usually gives one bark, or just walks away. We actually stopped going to our dog park because of these incidents. Now, Bacon plays with our friend's dogs, and we have never had an issue.

Dont worry, its not just Latte!
