    Panting

What does panting mean? Oliver has started panting at random times. Like when I walk in the door from work, he will pant in my face. The temperature in the house hasn't changed. He doesn't do it all the time, just some times. He just started doing it a couple days ago.

Panting can mean pain, anxiety, hot, excited, or they have to poop. Luna always has to poop when she starts pants.

Our last girl used to pant when we would come home because she was so excited to see us. Could simply be excitement, but if it worries you, I would check his temp.

    Yes...all of the above.

Because your dog is so young, you may want to bring him in for a Vet visit, if he pants a lot.
