one of the stickie's is on biting, maybe some info here woudl be useful: https://www.lab-retriever.net/board/p...py-biting.html
Hi folks,
Kenzee, our newest addition is now 9 weeks old. We are crate training her and working on potty outside. She finally knows her name (even though I thought she would think no and no bite was her name hehehehe) and we are mastering the SIT command. She loves retrieving her dummies bringing them back most of the time. I walk her with our older lab Pepper and she trots right along side her when we walk to check the mail.
All in all she is coming along nicely....
My concern is this:
She bites on the leash most of the time when putting it on/walking/using it for sit training
she bites the kids when they reach to pet her
She bites my pants and shoes
She is getting better, but we can only say no bite so many times ugggg! I have the kids get up off the floor when she starts getting bitey
We give her a chew toy when she bites
I tell her no bite and have tried the walk away for a time out and she follows to bite my pants. By then, I place her in her crate with a few chew toys
I have tried the lip on her teeth. She yelps and then walks away, comes back and bites again!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
She use to bite at the big dogs...my other labs, but has learned to only lick them because they have snarled at her a few times.
She also bites when she is getting a treat for sit training.
HELP PLEASE!

Exactly what worked for us.
Thanks for reposting.
Latte was very bitey at that age. Everybody said that she would grow out of it. And she did! She is 16 weeks old now and never bites hard. The methods on the sticky did wonders for me.
However this is something I'm still working on. At the training sessions, she sometimes takes the treats harshly.
Stig loved to bite when we was really young, too. We called him a baby shark. Thankfully he grew out of it...he just mouths now, and it doesn't hurt as bad since he has lost all his razor sharp baby teeth. Positive reinforcement, and ignoring worked the best for us. We would give him his toy when he bit us, or we turned our back to him or walked away for a few minutes. As for the the taking treats harshly, our puppy trainer told me to hold onto the treat if he is taking it aggressively until he takes it nicely. He's good about it now unless he's ridiculously excited.

Follow the advice on the sticky posted above. Consistentcy and patience is all i can say. Zoey was a puppy piranha! I couldnt even touch her or walk by her without her coming at me with those razor teeth. She put one those razors through my husbands lip!
I feel your pain. We have a new Ivory Lab puppy doing the same thing. I checked out the puppy biting post, seems like we are doing the right things, it will just take time.
