I think it was just excitement poop because I made sure he was more calm when we went on the last 2 walks.
I wouldn't worry about it personally

Sunshine always has a loose BM whenever we go for our outings involving water. Not so much if it is just dry woods running. After an hour and a half or so, she will just run off into the woods, go and come screaming back for more action. It is just a small fraction of a regular BM. If we go for a quick trip (less than an hour) I might have to remind her before we get back in the car. "Sunshine, last call for poop & pee." ZOOM! Off into the woods or tall grass, TCOB and RUN right back.

Up until after 2 years old, she would also pee.. a LOT! We are talking every 10 minutes or so. I believe she just didn't catch on to not swallowing a ton of water while swimming. There is no bashfulness about peeing. She will be on the way back with a retrieve, stop, drop the object, squat, pick it back up; and RUN back to me.

my first dog Lily would get soft poops out of excitement on every walk. Never worried us, however, if her daily evening poo was soft, then it was cause for concern.
