Haha just because he doesn't do anything in front of you does not mean he is ready. As well there is a difference between him being out when your home or not. When door closed and hears the car drive away it's a whole new ballgame. He will get bored and lonely after enough time. Then he will find some way to entertain himself. It is always worth a shot, but I would move any sort of temptations out of view.

    Good luck

We leave him alone in other rooms all the time. Whether I go take a shower and leave him in the living room alone or go clean out my vehicle and leave him in the house alone, as well as we have left - left, he heard the vehicle drive away....he never does anything. I think his behavior in front of me is very indicative of how he acts. Besides, we don't have anything for him to "find some way to entertain himself" with anyway.
