Love the pictures! He looks so tiny next to the truck. That'll be a good picture to get every month or so to show how he's growing. I remember when Mocha was that little. Take lots of pictures, they don't stay little for long.

I didn't even think of that! That's such a good idea, thanks!

Puppy K is great for manners. There is nothing in that class that is going to go against you for hunting. Until you get past the pet dog classes (which is specialized and obedience schools often do one or the other), all you do is sit, stay, heel, come, down, return to heel, etc. All things you do in the field. I started obedience with my dog at 10 weeks, did competition, etc. and then started doing field work when he was about a year. We were able to just get started because he had at least the basic obedience. The first day he could sit and stay until released without holding onto him. He's perfect in the blinds because of the obedience as well. I think it gives you a huge leg up and is great for any working pair.

What a sweet chunk of chocolate!

Puppy k was absolutely the best thing I ever did and I would highly recommend it regardless of what you intend to do with your puppy. Honestly, I can not think of one thing that would affect your puppy in a negative way. Quite the opposite actually!
