Not all have conscience then.
Wow, I think it's awful that someone would breed a dog and have it's pups be taken to a shelter. I think it's awful for a couple to adopt a pup and when it gets loose don't even try to look at it. And it's awful that a Shelter decided, after decision made to still adopt the dog.
Sorry you feel this way. And yes, I will keep talking because I and my husband did nothing wrong than trying to help a pup in need created by those who were awful.
Thank you have a Great and Fantastic Day.

I'm really not one to wade into the s**t, but the not so slow development from sad and regretful to sarcastic, nasty, no remorse or empathy, is truly upsetting.
We don't know what happened with Lilly for certain, but my goodness, you likely know what ended up happening to her. I really hope your attitude is a coping mechanism, not a testament to your character.
Wishing you and your new pup a lifetime of love, patience, and learning.

Do you live in my home? Do you see me and my husband? No you don't. This mechanism is from being attacked. Has nothing to do with coping or my attitude.
Again until you step in my shoes, and get bashed by those who think you are awful, and not see what we are going through in our home now because of the ineptness of the adoption agency and the loss of Lilly, then I think just a hope all is well will be just find. Which you did at the end of your comment or rant.

I'm curious as to what training methods you've used on your dogs. I noticed in your original welcome post, in the picture of Lilly, the choke chain collar was on incorrectly. And it seems your husband is the one being bit all the time. Even with an allegedly aggressive 3 month old pup.
What type of correction was used? Did you contact a POSITIVE trainer, one that doesn't use positive punishment? Or did you just "correct" this on your own? Or did you figure the Cesar Milan way is the way to go?
I'm not trying to bash you, but it's highly unlikely all these dogs are at fault, or the shelter. No shelter adopts out an aggressive, biting dog, particularly in a state with strict bite liability laws. So all this is just not computing with me.

Absolutely. I don't know you in person or live in your home. My concerns are based on how you've represented yourself here, which I think is reasonable.
Honestly, I hope I'm wrong. I'm sure everyone who has expressed concern hopes they are wrong, and that you are prepared to be bitten, scratched, chased around and generally terrorized by a puppy. Purebred doesn't mean angel. Quite the opposite with labs, actually.

Actually you pretty much started the real bashing, you were called out on questions regarding your motives and you went on the defensive immediately. If your motives weren't questionable, why are you beating this up and down? If you are being truthful why do you care what total strangers on the internet think?
So ill ask again, how is it that she was your bestie less than one week ago, a great dog, no mention of any of these problems at all and then BAM overnight everything changed? That's all I asked you and you have managed to avoid that question completely. Why is that?
This is a board centered around rescue and most of us have been around here for years, how did you think this wasn't going to be questioned??

I am going to close the thread as I don't think anything more can be said that hasn't been said.
