Also, when you do raise a pup, do not wrestle, etc with him, the way some like to do, as it can lead to harder mouth and this kind of biting. She is an adolescent, so, yeah, kind of wacky is normal at her age. The intensity of the bite is not normal.
Thanks regarding the rabies issue. She was vacinated when she was spayed. So she's all up to date on her shots. BTW, didn't post pics of my husband finger. Bite went to the bone and ripped. Should be stitched, but husband said Nah.

Im sorry you're going through this.

Just wanted to say though, as tough as it is to say, this may be the end of the line for her. She has a bite history now.

I'm so sorry you had to go through this. I know you gave it your all. Several decades ago we had to return a cocker spaniel that was aggressive with our toddler. We tried everything but in the end had to put our physical safety above all else. It was still heartbreaking to go through though.

    I'm so sorry.

Some dogs seem to not be wired right....or suffer from something unseen/undiagnosed.

One kind person said to me in the past that it sounded like my one dog was aware of "shadows" in his brain...definitely unstable. We suspect undiagnosed pain had at least something to do with it.

Sending all good thoughts for your family...and peace for Lilly.

Hello, I am so sorry... how sad you must all be and I feel that sadness... I have to admit though, I weighed the pros and cons with getting a rescue. It is a hit or miss. I work with children with attachment issues who had no early bonding with mom. Same with animals. IT IS CRUCIAL they bond, if not, all sorts of issues are to be had. I wanted my labbie to be of good breeding and good bonding to mom. It lessens the chance of issues. Plus, I had three Maine Coons at home that I did not want to risk anything happening to them. Good luck and when you are ready... try again with a breeder... hugs.. Sophie's mom
