So...is there an update? Did the nighttime snack work?
We placed Addie's crate in our bedroom, and if she woke up too early I just said one time "lay down, go to sleep" and then ignored her. It took some time to get her to sleep in to 6:30. She is on high alert in the morning cause she wants to eat right away and she loves me so much. It's always tricky to decide whether she has to potty, but after some time we got to know her habits. Addie is ALWAYS hungry and always on high alert for some one to go into the kitchen so for us I don't think it was related to actual hunger, more routine.
Good luck!

I'll share our vets tip. Give your little one about 2-3 teaspoons of plain vanilla yogurt at bed time. It won't activate their digestive system and keeps them from being hungry in the middle of the night. Mocha is 2 and still looks forward to his nightly "mogurt"

I may try the yogurt trick because my Quincy is STILL waking up at 5am and I am tired *yawn* At what point is it just a habit??? We are approaching 4 months old.
When Maxx first came home I was still working and he came with me. The alarm at 6 AM was his clue the day was beginning. I stopped working for health issues when he was almost 2 but his wake up time never changed, no matter what I did! He has always eaten a bedtime snack, yogurt or cottage cheese with some homemade dehydrated chicken pieces. He throws up bile if his belly gets too empty before breakfast but I have often wondered how early he would get up without his bedtime goodies and I am too much of a chicken to find out, lol!
