I let my dog sleep wherever he sleeps the best. Sometimes he feels like sleeping in the bed. Sometimes he feels like he needs to guard the front door. It is his choice. When I first got my pup, he slept with me. No regrets!

Huh, my experience so far has been that I just lift her up to my bed and she sleeps with me the entire night and there have been no accidents so far or complications she just sleeps with me until I wake up or until she wakes me up .

that's what all of my dogs have always done as well even as puppies. I have never had one jump off the bed or have accidents

Lucky! Not only have I had them jump off, I've also had one fall off the bed. Thank God he wasn't hurt.
