My old lab and my mother's young lab are peacefully laying by my side outside on the deck in the back with me. However, Barley - my 14 month old scamp has been otherwise engaged for about 25 minutes or so. I had not been paying attention - but realized that there is one piece of kibble stuck between the wooden deck boards. This is IT! This is the way to keep him occupied. He cannot really chew the deck - like he can a bannister - so perhaps this is the answer to my scampy puppy?

haha! Isn't that hilarious? And once they get it they eat it so fast I doubt they taste it
Problem is, which I have found in a similar scenario, is that pup can/will scratch or dig at it, marking up the wood of the deck.

LOL Now wedge a piece of kibble between concrete patio stones and he will file his own nails for you.

Lol! Maybe a wood deck isn't the best place but surely you can find some place safe to wedge a piece of kibble to keep your little busybody occupied!
