It's great to hear that the people here have helped you so much! Pups take a lot of time and patience along with tons of training! After the puppy years, they are just the best!

So glad you made it through! I remember wondering if I would ever be able to play with Mocha without bloodshed. This board really helped me, too, to know it was a phase and he would grow out of it.

So there's hope for Oakley and I??? I've shed a few tears too. I need patience...especially when I'm tired!

Yep...there is hope. I thought I had a defective lab when Sadie was a puppy. Then I joined this board and learned that I was not the only one. I would cry because there was no off switch on her. Hubby would just say "she just has too much personality". She would mind him, but when it came to me, all bets were off. I tried to discipline her, but she would look at me like I was from another planet and go on doing whatever she wanted. She is going on 10 years old now and still gives me "OYE" moments, but is the calmest and sweetest dog I ever had.

Of course there is! It's so difficult to be patient, especially when the puppy is still getting up throughout the night for potty and you're a little sleep deprived but persevere and everything will get better I found the best thing for me was to teach him how to play fetch so that even though maybe I'm tired, I can still give him a pretty good workout to tire him out. You know what they say, a tired puppy is a good puppy
