    Devil Spawn No More!

I remember posting up a thread on here 2 months ago pretty much in tears because I thought my pup was the spawn of satan. As much as I wanted to believe everyone that said that they promise it gets better, and that their babies grew out of it and now an angel, I couldn't believe it because he made me cry THAT many times and was just SO naughty. I am SO happy to say that, MY GOODNESS, you were all right! Even though Zeus is no angel and he is still a cheeky as can be, the nipping, the lunging, the mouthyness, it's all gone! I'm surprised he's even the same pup!

I just wanted to say thank you for listening to my rants back then and for giving such great advice to me and my furbaby He's still got a long way to go with his manners with other dogs but I see an improvement every day If any of you want to see an update on how Zeus is going, I just posted up a photo of him in the Lab puppy section!

Glad you got through the rough patch. Ours went through a bit of one, he'd not mastered the soft mouth and drew a lot of blood....He liked to grab and then run. I was so thankful when it was over.

    Its always good to hear!

just a warning though, with labs in the first 2 years you can still have moments of reversions ! Although not to perhaps the mouthiness etc..but there can be days or weeks of new behaviours that can really test you!

Oh, and the cheekiness is a character trait of a lab that can remain for life and makes them more endearing

    Congratulations! I told you so.

I have to agree with Georgie, Bobby is almost 10 months and he is just as cheeky as he was as a young pup. Perhaps, even more. I saw the other thread. Zeus is very cute.

Whew! You made it past the worst stage. Everything else is a piece of cake compared to piranha puppy

Zoey is 5 and she is still cheeky at times, it keeps them young!

Great news! This is the time they should be doing it and it's the time that they learn not to do it. Congratulations, you got through! The goofy stage, hope it last his lifetime. Greatest when they are goofy. Your boy is lovely. Have fun with him. Sounds like you have a lifer, who will filly your days with laughter, and love. And big time want to make you happy. Win-win. Lab's legacy.
