I bought one bully stick for Quincy and it was gone in about 30 seconds lol.
I've used retriever rolls, only made in the USA. I watch them the whole time and supervise as needed. I've found the Wholesome hide to be the most durable. I've tried elk antlers, and the issue I had with them was the dogs would chew them for 20-30 minutes, then never touch them again. Wasn't good value for the $ for us. I did find Best Prices on the Net for Elk Meat, Buffalo Meat, Goat Meat, Venison, Steak and Roasts, Antler Chews to have good pricing.
Raw bones were very popular here, until Sophie chipped a lower canine tooth. I liked feed the raw bones about once a week, as it made their poo's rock hard which kept anal glad expressed. Sadly, no more bones for us.
It's been hard to consistently find bully sticks that last more than 15 minutes.
Sophie has no interest in nylabones. Bruce has a couple he will chew on, but not very long.
I've also tried cow hoves, beef horn and a couple other things. None worked well for us.

We give her retriever rolls and pig skin rolls too. She is a chewing nut.
I ordered some Wholesome Hide retriever rolls to see how they compare to what I can get locally. I can't find thick chips anymore, I used to use those.
Archie also gets the Wholesome Hide Retriever Rolls. They last a really, really long time compared to, say, Himalayan chews. He'll work on one for a good hour and then I can take it away for a week and bring it back out again. I also order them in lots of ten to save a little money. I wish he had more interest in antlers, but he just doesn't.
Nope, no rawhides. A nice raw meaty bone or turkey neck work for my 2 and their teeth are white as can be!

I'm definitely looking into the antlers. I just fear a piece will fall off and he'll swallow it. You can tell I have a big fear of an obstruction LOL I'm like the mom who puts padding on her kids every time they go outside!
Thanks for the link!
Pig skin? That's a new one for me. Does it hold up well?
Amazon.com : Wholesome Hide Retriever Roll 9-10 Super Thick : Pet Rawhide Treat Sticks : Pet Supplies Do you think that this would be a good option? I know it's only 1, but I'd rather see if he likes it before I go and spend more on a bigger lot.
Have you tried soup bones (obviously the big ones)? Or is that too much of a risk? Someone suggested that to me and I kind of shot down the idea, but now that you bring up the raw bone, it sparked the idea again.
I just bought a couple of Wholesdome Hide Retriever Roll 9-10 Super Thick. They were bigger than I expected. I had not seen retriever rolls this thick before. I wanted to buy some of the chips but the reviews all said they were thin so I didn't bother.
Sam chews but Ava is my "big" chewer and she usually devours the retriever rolls I buy locally in just a few minutes. I gave one of the Wholesome Hide Super Thick ones to each dog and they were so excited (actually, they were excited by the box when it arrived). Ava started in on hers immediately. Sam did his typical "I'm just going to lie here next to mine and guard it" thing. I kept checking on Ava. After an HOUR she had only chewed some of the end off. This is the first time she didn't devour a rawhide chew in under 15 minutes. I decided that was enough and took it away. Sam never did chew his but that's typical of him, he often waits until Ava is done and then chews.
Bottom line is that I am very impressed. I'll give them to them again today and see how it goes.

Maxx was a power chewing maniac until about 2 y/o, he never broke an antler, I bought elk antlers. Actually they are still here in the bottom of the toy box! Emma never had any interest in them and Maxx lost interest when he stopped being a chomping machine. Neither of mine like Nylabones, they are also on the bottom of the toy box.
As for bones, you can definitely get larger ones. I usually buy rib bones, I don't like to refreeze or refrigerate nasty, slobbered up bones, lol! When Maxx was little I would get the shin bones cut in to 3-4 inch pieces and scrape a good bit of the marrow out and leave the meat attached. (The marrow is very rich and can cause tummy upset if they eat it all at once until they get used to it.) Unfortunately weight bearing bones are not the best choice and I no longer buy them. Raw, meaty bones were the only thing that lasted any length of time for Maxx. The larger, thick braided bully sticks worked well when he was younger as well. Not anymore but he loves them and they are always the first thing he picks out when we go to the feed store.
I am glad Maxx grew out of the crazy chewing habit, I always worried about him breaking a tooth, he had absolutely no self control. I would cringe the entire time he was trying to destroy a bone!

Day 2 update: Gave Ava her rawhide back. This time she made fast work of it. Still took longer than the average rawhide but she went through it much faster than yesterday. Sam still has not chewed his, he just guards it. Usually when Ava finishes he'll start on his, but not with this one. Maybe he doesn't like the extra large size.
