    Vey proud of the girls

We were out for 8 hours today, and left the dogs loose in the house with access to the yard (same as we have always done with our adult dogs). It’s the first time we’ve been gone that long with the puppies loose, and we came back 2 hours after their regular dinner time, so they were definitely hungry.

There were NO signs of any trouble or mischief out of them. I’m sure they’ll still have their moments, but they are definitely growing up!

Awwww, that is very grown up behavior for 2 young ones! I would be afraid they would be co-conspirators and find even more trouble to get in to than just one puppy alone. Maybe mama Chloe keeps them in line.

Wow, that's great! The 2 litter mates we had as our first dogs were definitely co-conspirators but there was no Mama around to model appropriate behavior either, plus no outside access if we weren't around. Keep up the good work, S&C!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Hurray! For two little rascals, that's quite an accomplishment.

It’s funny, because I can’t actually say that she actively keeps them behaving properly, but I think she is a good influence in that they watch her to learn how to behave around the house. I shudder to think about what the two of them would get into without her modeling good behavior for them, LOL.

It's always good to have an older dog around to teach the young ones the ropes and set a good example for good behavior.
