    Bed ripper

Spot likes to rip apart his bed...he is 6 months now, does it stop? Should I bother buying him a new one or will it just be ripped up?

I would not, until he shows you that he is mature enough to have nice things

Agree. Some dogs never outgrow that but many will become "rearrangers" as they age. I've had rearrangers (still do) but never had one that actually destroyed beds.

We bought Mocha a day kennel (kitchen) and a night kennel (bedroom) when we brought him home. He tore up the day kennel bed right away. He ate away at the seam and then pulled out the stuffing. I mended the bed and he tore it apart at the exact same place! So, we took it out and did not replace it. No towel or nothing. Just the hard plastic crate tray. He didn't seem to mind. The night kennel bed lasted a lot longer. But when he started chewing it, we took it away, too. I was afraid he'd eat it and it would cause a blockage or make him sick.

He was over a year old when I started putting towels in his kennel. I pinned them so they stayed straight. We still do this.
