Yes, will definitely do puppy play and obedience classes for the new guy and plenty of socialization without Jackson. One of our neighbors has two dogs (litter mates) that gang up on other dogs, so that is behavior that I definitely want to avoid.

We've got a few months to get fully prepped, but thanks again everyone. This board is such a wonderful resource! I'm definitely excited to watch Jackson play with his little bro. Little less excited to deal with the shark teeth and potty training, but at least those are temporary discomforts! Now I just have to upgrade the vacuum - our poor Dyson is going to protest 100% more dog hair!

With a well socialized, good tempered dog you should not really have to do introduce a pup in a neutral area. When I used to have dogs come for show weekends, I just brought them inside my house. Only once or twice, because of the other dog, did I bother to do the introduction in a neutral place or during a walk.
Pups are not perceived as a threat to most dogs.

Have fun with your pup, looking forward to seeing pictures!

I can't say I've enjoyed the house training, getting up in the middle of the night, and all the things that go with having a puppy. But like you said these things pass quickly and next thing you know they are the wonderful adults we all know and love!!
