gigi steuggles after her first road trip

We just got back from 1100 mile trip. She was great .she also had alot of first. Playing fetch in the lake, swimming in river and she also went to day care for 2 days when we visited hersey parks with kids.she did bot have 1 accident inside the camper. She loves the hikes in the woods.she loves rivers and waterfall pools. She did great sharing 200sq ft with 2 kids and 2 adults. She found a big boulder next to our campsite and lay like a lion cub.

Now the quirks. She growls at strangers in the dark walking around in campgrounds.
Today was our longest day we were on the road for 10 hrs. She gave us a scare when she refused to eat at a rest stop. Took us a while to figure she was waiting for sit , wait and the. Put the food down and the eat command. She excepts the routine and eat command.

Anyway she is having a tough time at home. She peeped twice , chasing the cat , jumping on the 5 yr old bed and is going crazy.

Anyone seen anything like this. Even in some heavy down pour she did her stuff outside the camper this week and a nice cool evening she is having accidents after walks.

Does a change in locations effect so much.hopefully she is back to her self. Btw I plan to send her to doggie day care as it seemed to have some change in the bite inhibition area and also being in the crate for an hr .strange she is perfectly fine to leave the window open and sit in car as we grab food at rest area even on a hot day, but leave her in the camper with ac in her crate for 15 minutes and she flips out.

Puppies are very much like little kids; disruptions in their routines throw them off. It's great she did so well on your trip! I encourage you to return to "normal" schedule as much as you can and give her a few days to adjust.

It's also possible that she's super tired and wound up and just needs a good long nap.

Today she just pees in the house.she barks for poop, not for pee. We where hanging out and she was playing and stops and pees in the living room. Not sure what is happening. Again not one accident for a 10 days. No warning or indication that she wants to pee.

If it were me I'd go back to how you acted when you first got her. She just back slid and needs a reminder. Also, it might be worthwhile to have the get run a urinalysis just to make sure she's not having any issues.

No, they go into heat older than 4 months. I think like Meeps said, she's just backsliding. Go back to potty training basics, taking her out frequently, keeping her contained when you can't watch her, etc. (I'll also say that Kimber, when she was 7 months old and months and months from any accidents, peed in my parents' house. She got too excited playing and she just squatted down. It happens.)

Round 2 is done and we are back.
Gigi did great on this 1200 mile trip , she played with alot of dogs in every pet area in campgrounds , met alot of dogs and kids. she mostly civil. one poddle wanted to kill her and was better with kids.
she is still scared of people walking in the dark carrying big stuff. some times even in the day. She loves digging craters in the beech and ocean water. she is very water active only when the kids or we are in the river ,creek or beach.
if we are not around she does not enter the water . last thing she got freaked out about the little glowing kid status with the stop flag in the campgrounds . had to work with a few times to tell her its nothing.

she is addicted to car rides now.she is better on walks and we got a easy harness that seemed to have helped her alot. today i took her walking with the regular leash and she is hardly pulling . maybe she is getting the leash walking thing.

she is very vocal now...and we are doing the shhh.... all day.cannot wait for her to calm down a bit and stop teething.
