Puppy Watching TV
Rocky (12 weeks now) LOVEs to watch TV. We have had dogs for the last 12 years. 3 diff. beagles, one lab who past away in Sept. and I've never noticed any of them so interested in TV. Whether in the living room or upstairs in bed where he has to look UP to see it.. Very funny - he sits there & watches & watches.
So, what does this mean? At 12 weeks could it be that he's more alert or smarter or better eyesight than any of the other dogs we've had? It MUST mean SOMEthing....??? The others I've NEVER seen focus on the TV for any length of time like this !!!!!!! |

I'm not really sure what it means. Our lab, Orion, has always watched tv with us ever since he was little. My fiance will still leave the tv on for the boys when we leave the house so they have something to watch if they want. Of course its on Animal Planet. But Orion will watch almost anything. My cocker spaniel, Blaze, could care less. He is too focused on his ball to pay attention to much else.

My boy *always* watches TV... Nowadays, he actually rests his big head on the coffee table as he sits between us, watching our shows.
Our girl has never been a TV-watcher.Here is where it started, though (we had just moved into our current home 3 years ago, so don't mind the TV sitting on the floor- this was Nicolas Cage during a scene in the movie "Windtalkers," I believe):

Rampage watches TV. The other night a dog ran off the TV screen (from one side to the other) and Rampage jumped off the couch so that he could follow him. Henry will looks at the screen but I don't know if he is "watching" it, Hugh the Dog goes to sleep the moment he hits the couch so he doesn't watch the TV at all.
