    Jack

    Hi All,

Jack was my first dog. Got him at 8 weeks and he made it about 10 years and 11 months before an aggressive cancer took him. By the time he showed symptoms there was nothing to do but put him down. He was special, everyone knew him in the neighborhood, at the vet etc. So big and sweet. A trouble maker for sure, ate everything he found. We also have a one year old who fills the quiet, but as you know there are no replacements. He is free now.

I'm so sorry to hear about Jack's passing. It sounds like you gave him a great life, a loving home and the ultimate gift at the end. Run free, Jack.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Awww Jack. So sorry for your loss. I'm glad you have a young one to keep you busy, but as we all know nothing fills that void. Love the pic - Jack looks like the perfect example of a happy lab.
