    Christmas and I'm missing them.

Taking out the Christmas decorations and coming across Montana and Dakota's stockings-it makes me cry. I miss them. Montana was such a lunatic-he immediately ATE every toy I ever gave him. He would growl and hide them too. Dakota-she would get the zoomies every morning after breakfast and run into the living room and start like digging next to the couch. There's nothing there-she would just freak out and do this. Up to a few weeks before she left she still on occasion would get that feeling.

China is ok as an only dog-but just ok. After the holidays it will time to start gearing ( saving ) up to build on the new dog account. We all know me-it's just a matter of time before I pull the trigger and get another dog.

Now though....I'm missing them so so much.

Oh how I understand how you feel. Even with Katie here, there is still part of my heart that cries for Archie.

    Hugs my friend.

Sending hugs your way and Poptop's way. Those are happy memories of all your dogs that should make you smile with maybe a little tear along side.

Yeah, I'm with you, sister. My husband wants a photo book of Chase, which I put together as a Christmas gift for him. I was sobbing trying to get it together. I couldn't do the type of captions I might otherwise have included had the process not been so emotional. Your feelings reflect how much Dakota and Montana meant to you. Hugs to you.

Getting a little emotional reading your post. I know what you mean. I think of Tanner everyday. He would have turned 15 last Saturday 11/25. Yukon turned 11 on Nov 20th and he's had issues of his own. I just remember he and Tanner for so many years together, active and just wonderful to have in my life.

I certainly understand. I think some of the dogs in our house are a little off right now too. Jack lost his tug buddy. Just too quiet.

Had to keep coming back to this post, I'm a little on edge about if Rocky will make it thru the holidays (at first I was sure he would, then...well not so sure).

    I hear you, it's hard

Maybe consider fostering? If China is ok with "new" dogs it is a way to have another dog without the expense (though there is the concern you end up adopting the first one!). I found this to be a good way to have a second dog without having a second dog for years with Rocky. He got the best of both worlds. Though, fostering wasn't easy per say, some dogs were easier than others.
