On Valentine's eve we said good bye to our sweet chocolate girl Rosie.

Rosie was just a few months shy of her 10th birthday, too young to be saying good bye to such a sweet girl. Rosie had been diagnosed with her 7th mast cell tumor, the tumor had multiplied in the 4 days between seeing the vet and surgery day, she was put on prednisone for a week, and blood tests showed her liver levels were elevated. On the third day of prednisone Rosie has a Grand Mal seizure, I called the vet and made an appointment for an hour later, as soon as I hung up the phone Rosie was having another seizure. Second seizure stopped and to the vet we went,
she had another seizure at the office, the gave her valium and put a cathater in her leg incase we had to take her to an er vet if a lasted more than 5 minutes. Rosie has 4 seizures, in the morning we took her to the vet, they would observe her, do chest xrays, an ultrasound on her liver and give her valium to if needed. The tests were all bad news, it's amazing noe stoic this breed is, Rosie was filled with tumors, in her lungs, in her stomacheand her liver, her kidneys were covered with tumors. At 8PM, I had to let my girl go, my son, the boy who picked Rosie out of the litter and accidently got pooh on his thumb when he picked her up to put her in the car to bring her home, and Rosie's human Daddy were all with her.
I miss my girl, my heart is broken.

I'm so sorry. Rosie was comforted by having her humans with her...she knew you'd do what you had to do to spare her further pain and fear.

    Run free, sweet Rosie...

I have been wondering how Rosie was doing, and I am really saddened to read this news. You did everything you could for her. I am so sorry for your loss.
