Awww. Know what you mean. I felt like crying this morning when I wrote a bit about Whisper, who has been gone since 1992.

But you know what? Painful as it sometimes is to have these memories pop up I wonder if it is worse to not have them? I've read of people saying they can't see their lost spouse's face in their mind anymore. That's worse, I think.

Very true Snowshoe. It's better to have memories to cherish, as painful as it may be at times.

Truly believe I've seen, felt or heard each of ours who have passed. I believe you saw Maddy and she's letting you know she's OK and will be waiting for you.

    OK, now there are tears.

Jen - I know exactly how you feel. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about each and every one of the Labs who shared their life with me. Each one was so special in their own way. They will all hold a special place in my heart until the day I die.

So sorry for your los;, Maddy was a beautiful girl and the picture of her as an old lady shows that she was wise and very special. They never really go away, it's been ten months since I lost Lynn and I think of her every day, several times actually, sometimes even talk to her which is something I can say here because normal people would most probably think I'm a fruitcake. Every time I see a post about a pup passing away I feel like crying and there are tears in my eyes and yet I'm grateful for these memories and want them to never go away. You're not the only one who feels this way here and I'm sure there's a lot of folks here who understand very, very well, including myself.
