    For my Brownie

    Born 9/23/1997
    Died 2/28/2013

Love you and miss you forever my old boy. You taught me how to love a dog, something that will be invaluable for the rest of my life.

This final, very sad photo was taken the day before he had to be euthanized. All his strength was gone, he had lost 10 lbs as his harness was falling off of him, and you can see the terrible cancer that was invading his poor face. He was nothing like my strong, healthy boy and I couldn't see him in this sad state any longer. He also had a large lump near his tail (likely cancer, and several other lumps that had begun cropping up, also likely cancer).

R.I.P Champion. No more cancer, no more pain. Run free.

I am so sorry. What a handsome boy he was. May he run pain-free over the Bridge.

So sorry for the loss of your Brownie boy. You did right by taking care of him to the end. That is all a dog or person can ask for in this life.

Rest gently now Brownie and jump high, run fast and be free with all of our others pups.

Thanks a lot, everyone. He lived a long and healthy life, but there isn't a day when I don't miss him
