I'm so sorry for your loss. It was far too soon for Zoe to go. Cancer is awful.

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear this. What a wonderful last years she had, knowing she was loved. My heart goes out to you.

Thanks everyone, I've tried about 1/2 dozen times to start this and stopped because I couldn't see through the tears. So here goes nothing.

Everything happened so fast for her, she came in fro outside (chasing squirrels) around 3:00, got a drink and laid down in the living room and never got back up. I came home a little before 5:00 and my SO said Zoe wasn't doing well. I looked at her and you could it was time, I tried to stand her up but she was limp (almost like a paralysis was setting in) and unable to stand. You could she was going down hill fast, it was after 5 when I called the vet thankfully she said she would meet us there (vets office) at 6:00. by now it was 5:30 Zoe's breathing slowed and she had that blank stare, I knew she would never make it to the vets so I held her told her she was a good girl over and over I'm going to miss her a lot and to say how much I mess everyone else (all the other dogs) at the bridge for me and I'll see everyone one day. 5:35 she took her last breath in my arms.......my Zoe was gone. We pick up her ashes this week for her final trip home to sit next to the others.
