So very sorry for your loss. 17 is a good age but 18 would have been better. Hugs to you.

It's never, ever long enough. We go into this with our eyes wide open, knowing that one day, we will have to say goodbye. It's always to soon. It's always devastating, this loss we suffer. But, we smile at their memories, the goofy things they did, how they brightened our day, how they loved us no matter what, that no matter how bad your day was, their day was the best day they ever had. And it's because you were there to love them, to guide them. They made you a better person, because you helped make them a better dog.

I feel your loss. I mourn for you as I think of all of those dogs who touched my life over these many years, and I can imagine them standing on the other side of the bridge, tails wagging, full of joy to welcome Brit to join them. Happy, healthy and free of pain.

I am so very sorry for your loss.

    I'm so sorry...

It's always hard to make that decision...even when you know it's the best, sometimes only, option. Britt knew you'd take care of her no matter what that meant...and you did...I consider that faith to be a supreme comfort for a pet.

    Run Free, sweet girl!
