I helped Brittney move on to the bridge this morning. I am devastated, its hard to breathe. I cant think straight right now, this was the hardest thing ive ever done

I have not had to do this with a pet that I am the primary caregiver for, only as part of the family (and even then so very very hard) so cannot even begin to imagine your pain, and I dread the day that I will need to make this decision of love. As others have said so eloquently, I really hope in time that your grief and pain will be balanced with glorious memories of love and laughter re your precious Brittney and all that she was. They are here so briefly in the grand scheme of things, give us such joy, make such an impact on our lives, and ultimately make us better people all round. My heart goes out to you. Take care.
