    Missing Jake

I finally mustered up the strength to go get Jake's remains yesterday. It has been three months now and, while I do have times where I can laugh and smile about memories of him, I still feel so sad at times. It stinks to come home knowing that the house is empty. I just miss my dog.

Oh Laura you are so brave. It's only been 3 months, from my experience you may never not be sad that your beloved Jake is no longer at your side. But Jake lives in your heart and love never dies. Thank you for sharing with us your joy and sorrows.

I know how hard it is. My Jake has been gone for just over a year and not a day goes by my heart doesn't hurt for him.

It takes time to where the sorrow will turn to fond memories. Know how hard it is. Miss my Jake too.

It is so difficult to be strong when you have lost Jake so recently. They truly touch our lives forever.

    Take care.

it's such a hard time. Think of it this way, Jake is now home, where he belongs.

    Hugs.

I have a little hole in my heart for each of the Labs I've lost. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of them. They are never with us long enough.
