    I am so very sorry. I am still getting over a sudden loss myself. I think you just have to hurt AND make yourself go on. You develop a scab or callus over the hurt, or it is like an old injury, with arthritis in the joint that was your hearts together. You just have to keep the joint moving, although some days are harder than others.

    Thanks everyone. Your kind thoughts are much appreciated. i was so worried about when was the right time. As i reflect back on Oscar and where he was these last several months, I'm certain it was when it needed to be. That said I miss him so much. While Im glad I was with him to the end, its something i'll never forget.

    I completely agree with this from my experience recently. It was definitely my dog's time to go but the aftermath I underestimated. It's been really hard and empty.
