I was so sad to read this, it always made my heart smile when you talked about how loved Jazzy was by her family, especially her boys. My heart breaks for all of you, especially for the boys.

Godspeed Jazzy. May there be many belly rubs and raining cookies for you while you watch over all who loved you.

You gave the family a gift in which the memories will last a lifetime. Jazzy took the love you gave her and spread it to the family. Rest easy sweet Jazzy. Say hi to my Bonniegirl who went to the bridge the night before Thanksgiving at 12 yrs 3 weeks. Jazzy and Bonnie celebrate the holidays young and pain free eating cookies while you wait at the bridge for us.

This must be one of the awful things about being a breeder that no one mentions. Do all the families let you know when their beloved puppy, hopefully at a good old age, passes on? I know I did with Jet. All the cats we've placed have been strays, one feral, and some of those people have kept in touch and let us know and it hurts.
Most do. Sometimes it takes a few months, but they let me know eventually. Not many can handle it right away, but this family has always kept in very close contact, and probably knew if I hadn't heard anything from them at Christmas especially, I'd be asking.

Seems like I've been talking to far too many lately who have lost their heart dogs and are getting ready for a new puppy. Several (men especially) have lost it on the phone... That is very hard for me, esp having been thru the loss of Roxy earlier in the year. Definitely the part of breeding I don't like.

Our condolences to you and to Jazzy's family, and thank you for sharing the story of her life; I hate competitions myself, hate the pressure, and when I'm relaxed, I do much, MUCH better, just like Jazzy. Run free Jazzy and don't worry, there's no competing at the bridge, you won't have to prove yourself as they know who you really are - a sweet, beautiful girl M&M

The pic you posted of Jazzy with her boy has me in tears. If there was ever a picture that epitomized the the bond between a dog and her humans it's this one. There is no doubt in my mind those boys are mourning the loss of their beloved dog. There is also no doubt that she left an indelible imprint on their souls they will never forget, and one day those boys will pay it forward.

I know Jazzy was met by a big group of happy wagging tails, ready to show her the ropes in Doggie heaven. There is no doubt in my mind that there was a special boy there to great her.
