When I think back to those dark, awful, take your breath away days after such a profound loss, my heart aches with memory. Many do not understand and I feel sorry for them. To have never known such a pure love and consuming loss Is unimaginable. Sending you prayers of comfort and strength.

So well said. Thank you. As I walked Dakota through the woods this morning after breakfast I just couldn't hold it back anymore but it's weird. I have never lost a loved one and "felt" that they were still with me as some have had happen to them. With Montana-I "feel" him in the wind. I feel his energy around me. Maybe it's just my minds way of trying to protect me or something but it is comforting -so much so that it makes me smile.

In the days after I lost my Cracker, I would still walk the same routes around the neighborhood and I swear he was walking besides me, I could 'feel it' also. When I first got Cracker, I taught him to stop at an intersection and sit, then we would cross the road. After I lost him when I walked I would still stop even with no cars coming and look down to where he should be and then lose it. Your mind does some weird things when you are in that state of mind.

    Still sending MOJO and hugs.

Crying as I write this, Montana was so very much loved and gave all his love back to you many times over. Though he'll never be forgotten, time will ease the pain.
My wife sent me this after losing our Murphy. Our prayers are with you, Ron

Thank you so much Ron and everyone here that took the time to send warm thoughts. Today is not any easier either. We go about our daily business with several break downs...today's light snow almost brought me to my knees-1st snow without Montana. Some friends dropped by my work with flowers. The cards reads : In loving Memory of your precious Montana.

This is so sad; when I read this post earlier today, I went shopping teary-eyed. I think I appreciate how much it hurts, but I still "have" Lynn, she's with me all the time, she's my guardian angel, and she'll never leave me. It does hurt, but the pain eventually subsides and all that's left are just all those wonderful memories and even those moments and antics that used to drive you crazy and mad will make you smile. Afraid that all we can do now is send you a lot of love and M&M
