I tried to edit the post in my original recipe for Steel Cut Oats + Quinoa but was not allowed because too much time had elapsed between the original thread and now.
Then I tried to post the following clarification as an addition to the original thread but that was not allowed either because too much time had elapsed between the original thread and the present.
SO, here it is:
My SCO & Quinoa breakfast porridge recipe reads to add a "small handful" each of dried, sweetened blueberries and also of Craisins (dried, sweetened cranberries).
I recently checked those amounts and those "small handfuls" are each equivalent 1 & 1/2 tablespoons (1.5 Tbs).
Just FYI:
(I used a measuring device that's shaped very much like this to measure how many Tbs are in my "small handfuls": https://www.amazon.com/MixSure-Mix-N-Measure-Multi-Purpose-26-Incremental-Measurements/dp/B01M04IYJT/ref=sr_1_33?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1494183412&sr=1-33&keywords=2+tablespoon+measuring but it's of thin plastic, not glass, and I had to buy a quantity of them from a medical supply store but that large quantity sold for a FAR, FAR cheaper price than just one of these. Mine are calibrated in TBS, Tsps, CCs, etc.)

It's so funny you just posted this. I missed your original post but we've become obsessed with quinoa and I'm going to ask for favorites with it.

Look for my SCO & Quinoa recipe in this section -- it's delicious (most especially with the sliced banana).
Unfortunately, it does work best with a Zojirushi rice cooker set on its "Porridge" setting but less expensive (say under ~ $50) rice cookers will make edible servings if you cook it twice.
One thing I find with my recipe is that the very tiny balls of Quinoa (seeds? grain?) tend to lodge between my teeth and gums so I need to floss every morning after eating my porridge. I keep those little Oral-B flossing sticks always at hand.
