I would think simmering it down until it's thick would work. It may take a while, but it would be worth a try.
Barry581, it's not thick enough to begin with to simmer down. I tried that the last time and ended up with tasteless, brown, thickened liquid. And wasted a lot of sugar in the process.
The ice cubes were a nice idea and they look pretty in a glass of water. Sort of like putting a squeeze of lemon in but pink instead. Next year I guess I'll just go ahead with ice cubes.
Is it as liquid as apple juice you buy in the jug? I've used apple juice to make apple jelly. It does take time boiling it down, add some pectin (Certo brand comes to mind).
