hi we are looking for a lab puppy to adopt, we have already have zack who is 2 y/o and also a labrador retriever. we are looking for a lab puppy so he will have a companion in our backyard. and of possible an affordable puppy, we've been looking at animal shelters around us to see if we could find a labrador retriever but we couldn't get the right timing because someone is always getting ahead of us to I'm trying to find a puppy here to adopt for $100-$200 around at Lancaster, CA. i know our budget is super low but we guarantee a good home for the puppy and a caring family. thank you

Just note that most of the local Lab rescues charge more than you are budgeting for a puppy. For example Southern California Lab Rescue ($350), Lab Retriever Rescue of SoCal ($500-$600 for puppies), Retrievers & Friends ($250-$400). Also, they may not adopt to families where the dogs are backyard dogs and spend the majority of their time outside.

I will just note to compare what you get for the cost.
ex: some shelters may be significantly cheaper but the dog has no or little vetting. So once you include the vetting you will need it will end up actually costing more. While the cost of some rescues may be much more but INCLUDE so much vetting already so it's actually ending up costing you less overall.

This would also go for a "free" puppy online. sure the cost of the dog is less but you need to see what the cost of vetting (basic shots/spay or neuter, dewormin) wuld add up to.

Oh and i'd be cautious about leaving a puppy (baby) alone in the yard unsupervised with an adult dog. Until the dog is old enough you'd need to supervise to ensure no one gets hurt (and also that your dog actually likes the puppy - some dogs while overall friendly will be a bit harsh on a puppy OR just want NOTHING to do with a puppy).

We have friends adopt puppy from peuto Rico for 200$ include shipping and vetting . Most are mixes .We did get a adult lab that back fired. They have no take back policy so I suggest go puppy . Facebook.lookup arf peuto Rico . Price wise that is your only option.
They will vetted ,fixed and all healthy. Beware as I will not recommend a adult dog as a lady who adopted a another adult dog said the same to us.hers even after a year pees inside the house and has alot of issues.
The one we got was kid aggressive and we have a 5 and 8 yr old kids.He could not handle the 5 yr old . He is now with a no kid household and is a wonderfull chocolate lab.

You may need to clarify what you mean about "we are looking for a lab puppy so he will have a companion in our backyard". If you mean that the dog is outside during the day when you are not home, chances are you won't get a rescue (or a breeder) to part with an animal.
