Help needed for foster or home

    Dear Y'all,

I have found a cute lab mix running across a 4 lane in North Ala. I posted signs, checked the papers, checked for a chip-nothing. He is a super cute, super sweet guy, neutered, black with white on his chest and paws. Gets along great with people, and dogs, seems fine with cats, doesn't chase horses. He seems to be around a year-maybe less. BUT and it's a big but-he is an escape artist extraordinaire! He easily jumps a 4 1/2 foot fence, figured out the sliding door on the barn, knocked open a window, dug under a wall. When he gets out all he wants to do is sit with you. He is amazingly calm for a young dog and would really be great for an older person or apartment life. I really can't keep him. I have limited means and am stretched to the breaking point. I don't have the money or the time-cause I'm maintaining 12 acres by myself-to fix my rather large fenced yard so this great guy can't escape. Thus he is penned in the barn and he is so lonely there it breaks my heart. Do any of you know of a foster or a person etc. who can take him. All that said I'm certainly not going to do anything like take him to the pound etc. but this is really causing me a good deal of stress and I would totally appreciate any help anyone can render.

    Thanks,
    Andrea

Have you tried getting in touch with any Lab rescues in your area to ask for help? I wish I could be of more help. Thank you for keeping him safe and trying to do the right thing.
