have you tried a rescue, which might be safer to adopt out your dog, rather than to blindly adopting out to strangers.
We have a 3 year old female yellow lab that needs a new home. We have a 6 month old daughter that is allergic to dogs. We love Dakota dearly, however our daughter comes first. Dakota is 3 years old, spayed, kennel trained and plays well with dogs and children. She is really a great dog, not a chewer, and not hyper. We are located in central florida. We're really trying to be picky as to who we give her to and want her to have a good home. Please respond to the thread with a way for me to contact you as I can't post my email address yet.

Yes I have. The ones my wife looked into all wanted an upfront fee and something just didn't seem right about them.
There are a couple of rescues in FL who appear reputable. Yes, most of them will want an intake fee; after all they are taking on the expense of feeding and care. Please do not use something like Craigslist or list in the paper, especially for free. There are some very evil people out there who would use the dog for even a bait dog.

advertising a dog to adopt out, and not knowing who is getting the animal, is one of the scariest thing, sadly, in todays times.
i would strongly suggest, again, looking into a rescue.
I actually have a friend who mentioned to me wanting to adopt an older lab, they live in the Orlando area. I have no idea what their timeline is, but let me call them and see if we can get Dakota a home!
And, it can be scary taking some one's word for why their dog needs a home. Allergies are a well used cop out. Sorry OP, I will assume you are genuine, but you should know bad people foist their dogs out on unsuspecting others so best be prepared for a grilling, all in the best interests of the dog and the future home. I do hope you find a good one.
I would not recommend ever to offer a dog for adoption over the internet. You really are best going through an adoption agency. They will vet a prospective adopter and make sure they are a genuinely good person. A dog lover. They will do legal contracts. They will do check ups. They will make sure your dog goes to some one who loves them. The fee is small for what your dog will receive from the service. After all would you put your daughter up for adoption to a stranger over the internet because she gets sick around the dog - I think not - you would go through a reputable adoption agency. Think of your dog as your daughter and find her a safe home.
