Thumbs down Say it ain't so........

Forecasters are calling for more snow here tomorrow. I just went to www.weather.com and ran the forecast for my zip code -- and here it is:

* ACCUMULATIONS... POTENTIAL FOR 8 OR MORE INCHES OF SNOW. THERE IS A GOOD LIKELIHOOD OF SNOW IN EXCESS OF 10 INCHES.

ARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHH ........... I'm not even plowed out from the last snow and they're calling for that much more??? I'm going to go insane.....

Between Tuesday-Thursday they're calling for between 8 inches to the possibility of another foot of snow up here. I don't think we're going to see grass until springtime.

Baylee's gonna explode then because she can't get to her special place in the yard where she poops, and I am not digging that far, it's at the other end of the acre and a half that we have!!! She's only went a few times since Fri night and she usually goes 2x a day!

Tell me about it! We didn't get quite as much as you guys did (about 10 inches here), but I'm not looking forward to MORE snow on Wednesday! They are calling for 8-12+ up here!!!!!

I know Tide will be happy about it though

Yikes!!! I'm sorry, guys! That sucks.

By the end of this season, you may end up with the 100" + that we had last year.

Be safe and take it easy on your backs...shoveling can really hurt after you've already moved dozens of inches of snow!!!

Hopefully you can get shoveled out easy enough!

I don't have any more room for it. I already have mountains in the back yard.

Yeah, but this is NOT the kind of winter we're used to around here!! Maybe in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, but not in the MD/VA/DC area. My daughter-in-law (who is from Pennsylvania) is appalled that we're still this snowed in after 3 days, and wanted to know why all she ever sees here are those "pick-ups with wimpy plows on the front". I had to explain to her that in an area like this, where we might only get big snowstorms like this once or twice in a decade, the government is not going to invest in hundreds of great big snow plows. Most of the time, the "wimpy" equipment gets the job done! But when we get clobbered with a storm like this, we're up the creek......

We're shoveled out -- but not PLOWED out!! Driveway and sidewalk are clean -- we just can't get out of our court or neighborhood!!! At least it's bright and sunny out today. I'm hoping that even though it's not warm out, the intensity of the sun will soften some of the snow enough that we can ram our van through the court and make a way out of here!!

I know!! The piles are getting too high for me to be able to throw more on top of them!! (unless I grow a few inches or something!!)

As we shoveled yesterday, my husband and I were discussing the pro's and con's of using a flame thrower to clear the court! Anybody have one they'd like to share with us?

I'm trying not to think about Tuesday / Wednesday. We're fortunate to live on a main road but seriously, my husband may never be able to walk upright again after all this shoveling.

Ugh. Shouldn't have checked...for my zipcode, I'm seeing 8 - 10 additional inches coming in Tuesday afternoon - Wednesday. My skin kid is never going to go back to school!!

Yep....our most recent "upgrade" for the Tues/Wed stuff is 10 - 12". On top of the 30" we just got.

Just shoot me now.

We got plowed yesterday, so that's a help. And the plow drivers were pretty careful about where they put the stuff....I'd marked the storm drain in front of our house, and that had about a foot-wide opening, so that was good...and the only stuff we had to shovel from in front of our driveway was what the blade pushed as the truck went around. At least we didn't have any deliberate plowings into the front of the driveway or our mailbox.

Bob went into his office complex yesterday evening to check things out....none of the parking was plowed and no shoveling was done. Nothing....not even started. He closed the office today and will check again tonight to decide what Tuesday will look like. Good complex/condo management....they seem to be woefully lacking lots of times when it comes to maintenance.

Sunnie and Danny both had decent walks this morning....if you call walking in the street decent. Sunnie didn't mind being a streetwalker....marked a lot and even pooed....but Danny didn't do a thing. He seemed to be in a hurry to get back home.

We won't be going into the park until they plow....which may take forever....the pooches don't like enforced snow jumping even though Danny likes to frolic/jump in the deeper stuff in the yard. Sunnie says she's not a kangaroo. End of discussion.

Wow! I feel bad for all you getting nailed with all that snow! We get lots here, but we're used to dealing with it. I wish I could pack up my truck and snow blower and come blow you all out
