Good luck to you.
I think you are in for an eye opening experience.
More importantly, good luck to the pup that ends up with you.
What?
Your posts are staring to make less and less sense.
"Hmmm, just like you are?"
I don't know what you are trying to say here.
It's not a PETA mentality. I firmly believe that there...
Yeah, good luck with curbing the natural prey instincts in your dog. You really think if your rabbits are out and your dog wants to eat one that you'll be able to stop it?
Give it a shot-I can...
Who said anything about PETA???
You are the one that brought PETA up......
Ok....100% honesty here-NO JUDGEMENT.
What you have just described above is typical zoomie lab behavior. Honestly. I'm not being b*tchy here or judgemental in the least.
What you have just...
I absolutely do not believe that every dog can/should be saved. Not by a long shot.
My opinion is based on the pictures-that just does not look like an aggressive dog bite to me.
Maybe a fear bite...
I also find it interesting that someone that breeds rabbits would willingly look to adopt a hunting dog with strong prey drive as one of it's main characteristics.
Gee, I think I am still confused by all your contradictory posts.
If the shelter knew they were adopting an aggressive dog out to you, why were they so shocked?
This is just where I get stuck with the story-in one post you say how shocked they are at the...
It's true...think about it. She already had a list of breeders she was looking at because she wanted to get a friend for her aggressive dog? Bring a puppy into a house with a dog that she says had...
Therein lies the problem.
Lilly is a mix...and I think that bothers you. You want a purebred lab and you settled for Lilly.
I think...you either really wanted a lab puppy from a breeder all along and "settled" for Lilly or you got Lilly then came here and saw all the pure labs and decided you wanted one of those...
exactly!
I partially blame the shelter as well for adopting out a rambunctious 7 month old lab puppy to people admittedly heading II not their senior years. It doesn't sound like it was a good fit to begin...
I keep going back and looking at the picture....and I just don't see a vicious, aggressive dog attack there.
I just don't, sorry.
I've had bruises, scrapes, scratches, broken bones and black eyes...
Because honestly, based on the picture, it does not look like Lilly "bit" him aggressively. It looks like alot of scratches and maybe some teeth in there...the injuries could have been caused by the...
Good luck with a puppy.
I hope you get the kind of dog you were looking for this time.
I agree with Sue.
You had Lilly for roughly a month...she was a 7 month old lab. She didn't even have time to fully adjust to being in a home and the rules that come with that.
I remember my girls...
You started this thread to find a lab breeder before you even returned Lilly to the shelter?
Currently in the rotation: Fromm Beef Frittata, Fromm Surf & Turf, From Salmon Tunalini, Fromm Gamebird, Fromm Lamb & Lentils, Earthborn Holistics Coastal Catch, Meadow Feast, Great Plains and...
IMO-yes, 38% protein is too high for a 9 year old...unless he is seriously active.
Yes, those are their happy faces.
You should see them when they're p*ssed.....lol
It's a 2014 Toyota RAV4.
It's the *perfect* size for me and the girls and I LOVE it!!!

We went from a 2 door Honda Civic coupe to a small SUV...so they have tons more room now, especially with the seats down.
Of course, when I put the seats down they think it's a wrestling mat.
