I would think that playpen, really meant for little yapper dogs, could easily be destroyed by a lab. I use a 48 inch crate for Lido at home, and we take a 42 inch crate when we travel.

Labs are known for eating way too fast, no matter how much they're fed! We have four different slow feeder bowls that we rotate daily to feed Lido. They work very well. Check out Outward Hound...
I feel your pain. My vet calls Lido a "frequent flyer"...
What a gorgeous pup!
We started very gradually changing Lido over from three meals to two meals during his sixth month. He was completely switched over the day he turned 7 months. He was eating more than three cups...
Yay, another yellow! Congratulations - she's adorable!!
Stormy has grown into a beautiful young lady!
Are you rationing his water consumption? Lido drank like a camel when he was younger - whole bowl fulls at a time - then peed rivers, and my vet told me to give him frequent water breaks during the...
Thank your for rescuing this cute girl! I know you'll have her whipped into shape in no time! The vet tech can muzzle her and clip her nails, so you don't have to be the bad person. She'll need to...
Lido did this when younger. My vet had me give him controlled water breaks throughout the day. He finally outgrew it around 7-8 months.
Be careful with mulch eating. Cocoa bean mulch is very toxic to dogs. We use mulch in our front and side yards, but we use pine straw in our back yard, for this reason. Here's an explanatory...
Lido's a good car rider and goes to sleep after a few minutes. However, he absolutely REFUSES to jump up into the back seat - even with high value treats as a lure. We have to put his front feet up...
Welcome back!
At that age, Lido's breeder said to start with 3/4 cup 3x daily, and up it as necessary. Keep an eye on the puppies' ribs and overall appearance. You should be able to feel the ribs, but there...
I feel your pain. This is the second severe storm to go through our area (Georgia) in about a week. We had 6 inches of rain last night, with severe thunderstorms - lots of thunder, lightning,...
Isn't day care wonderful? Luckily, everyone at daycare loves Lido, even though he's "very active," lol!
Yes they do!!
Thanks! Our regular vet at the time said he didn't have time to see him that day when it happened, so we called another vet in town who said to bring him in immediately. Needless to say, we left...
Good news! The pathology report came back, and Lido had an encapsulated hematoma, which is what my vet thought it was. Apparently, it was a VERY nasty carpenter bee sting, which Lido's body reacted...
Thanks for the well wishes! Lido has not had any recent vaccines. He had been trying to catch carpenter bees in our yard, which is why I thought it was a bee sting.
Lido had a growth removed from his left shoulder last Friday. Earlier, I thought it was a bee sting, and I took him to the vet, who found bloody fluid when she aspirated it, and prescribed...
Please check all ingredient lists, even the grain inclusive ones. I found peas/pea protein on two of Purina Pro Plan's grain inclusive formulas. I have found this to be true of several brands I've...
How fun! Lido won't even swim, lol.
Ash content seems high, which means there's a lot of bone in the kibble, a way of stretching cheaper kibbles out while maintaining protein %.
Congratulations and I hope you have a lot of fun with it!
