My dogs have been on Victors for years. They do very well on it.
You may want to see if it's available at a human pharmacy. The vet could send the prescription there.
I didn't know you could take gabapentin & tramdaol together...I thought it was one or the...
Could it be environmental and not the food?
Haven't tried this one yet :)
To be honest, I really didn't see much of a change. So after the 6, we (vet & I) are going to wait 2-3 week and see how Shasta does.
In the meantime, we're starting here on a different Chinese pill...
I'm wondering if that is what is in the Chinese herbs that she is taking. I'm going to ask the holistic vet tomorrow when we go for acupuncture.
He had a great time and there is still a lot of cake left! It was big!!
Shasta has had no trouble with the acupuncture needles. She's had 5 treatments so far. When we go for our 6th next week the vet is going to reevaluate if it's doing her any good and if we should do...

Here the PRP procedure (take blood & spin it up to separate out the plasma) is about $200 plus $25 for each injection for when the put it back in the body.
She also mentioned Stem Cell Therapy, but that's a bit more pricey, close to $2000 I believe.

He was just at the end of his HW treatment and weathered...
Instead of making two separate posts I decided to combine the two.
Has anyone heard of and/or done Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy or used Galliprant?
My holistic vet mentioned the PRP as a...
Perhaps a calming collar would work? calmingcollars.com
There is a new anti inflammatory out there called Galliprant. It's supposed to have less side effects than Rimadyl & Novox. I haven't used it yet as I have been able to manage Shasta's pain with...
I was going to say LP as well. Shasta has that at age 12.
Oh sweetie. Sending my best to Fran.
You could try a calming collar. They last about a year if you don't use them every day and put them in a ziploc when not in use.

I am so so sorry. Love to you and China.
Thank you everyone, I really appreciate it. :)
Gotcha, thanks!
Yes, she's already on Gabapentin for pain. Also Novox as needed. She also gets Free Form Snip Tips (Omega 3) as well.
As for the Vitamin C, someone on here had mentioned...
Sorry I took so long to respond! :)
I already give Hylasport to her daily. I was looking at other things that might help.
I'd like to order some Ester-C to see if it will help with Shasta's arthritis. But, when I go to Amazon, there are several choices. Is one better than another?
Here is the one I'm looking at.
