Something has to be triggering it. It's frustrating when you don't know the cause. I hope you find out what it is. Do a test for giardia as Woofie suggested.

Is there a possibility that he may have ate something he shouldn't?
When did you start raw? Have you added something recently that you haven't fed him before?
